Assignment Capsule
As a Predictive Modeling/ Data Mining Analyst you will perform data analysis, develop algorithms, models and computational design to implement, document and present technical information to a broad audience. You will then apply each of these tools to real client data, discussing the results of your modeling solutions with other areas of the business.

Develop and maintain a suite of predictive analytics to drive consumer engagement in Humana’s clinical activities including but not limited to:

* Develop statistical models &methodologies to predict, quantify, and/or forecast various business/health metrics
* Ensure and maintain data quality and reliability
* Provide expertise and assistance in implementing model results in ongoing business processes
* Identify and recommend new data sources that will maximize analytic output and conclusions
* Create customized reports with a team of analysts
* Ensure full and clear documentation of all processes

Role Essentials

* Master’s Degree in Math, Statistics, Engineering or a related field
* Prior statistical experience
* Experience using Structured Query Language, SAS and/or SPSS
* Experience building and maintaining analytic data sets
* Proven ability with data mining and/or predictive modeling techniques
* Proven ability to effectively communicate results of statistical
models to broad audience, including senior leadership
* Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
* Experience with large data sets


Role Desirables

* PhD Degree in Applied Sciences, Statistics, or Engineering
* Experience with health care data, including Medicare/Medicaid
* Experience with SAS Enterprise Miner
* Intermediate to advanced experience with statistical analyses
including propensity score matching, multivariate statistical
modeling, signal detection analysis.
* Computer programming experience.
* Experience with the analysis of patient-level healthcare


Reporting Relationships

* You will report to a Manager or Director. This area is under
the leadership of the SVP & Chief Operating Officer.
